We were at the stadium for 9 heats of the Chuck Wagon races. Each race consists of 4 Wagons pulled by 4 thoroughbred horses. Each night the 36 groups accumulate their times to find a winner by this Sunday. They are very careful to look after the horses and time penalties are given for any breaking of rules.
After the races they put on a spectacular night show celebrating Canada. This was followed by a fireworks display.
Managed to catch the last
bus home at midnight.
