At the bottom end of the Great Barrier Reef. Not large as it it took about 40 minutes to walk around. Snorkeling was OK but not to keen on swimming with the reef sharks. Supposedly they are harmless! Lots of families there as the lagoon is fairly safe.

Gladstone
Gladstone has one of the busiest ports in Australia. Exporting Aluminia. Coal and gas.
About 28 large container boats were lined up at sea waiting to come in. We took the ferry from the Gladstone marina for Heron Island. rough trip over but smooth coming back
Tannum Sands
Staying in a very nice house on the outskirts of Tannum Sands.
Big section with a variety of tropicai plants.
Kookaburra were waiting for us, Should see them in one of the photos later.
