Berlin

We visited a concentration camp outside Berlin. Unbelievable what went on.

We took a guided walk around Berlin. The guide was a Canadian performing art's director.
During the summer he guides in Berlin. This was his last for the season and he wanted to visit some places that he does not usually take people. So a 4 hour walk turned into 7 hours of Berlin highlights and theatrical perfoming. Above is the Berliner Dom.

The TV tower at Alexanderplatz.

One of the 2 sections of the Berlin wall still standing.
The Holocaust Memorial. Covers 19000 square metres.

The Brandenburg Gate.

The Memorial to the 103 who voted against Hitler getting into power. Most lost their lives because of this.

The graffiti buildings (Tacheles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunsthaus_Tacheles ) where the musicians and artists hang out in Berlin.
